I’ve sold several of these AS Strommen Bruk Hamar wooden sewing baskets over the years; this is THEE nicest I’ve come across. Alas, nobody used it as an “end table”, lol, as many of the lids on these have circular glass rings and many scratches.
Made in Norway. This one’s a real beauty.
The top especially has a really nice gloss.
Only minor signs of use. I didn’t see any scratches; there may be a few if you search.
Insides are clean. Perfect paper sticker inside one lid along with the makers stamp on the bottom.
Retains all original screws/washers which have a nice patina.
Measures 39.5” long x 10 1/4″ wide and is 30”in height…includes the carry handle.
it measures 5′ when fully opened.
If you’re in the market, this handsome basket would be a terrific choice.
*I will be removing handle (2 screws each side) for safest packaging, and to keep carton size down, given carriers excessive “dimensional rate” charges, plus the heavy weight.*
